The story or "myth" that I chose consists of this: The Daoists had created a variety of disciplines to gain control over their mind and bodies, and sexual energy was just as important as any of the other energies or spirits.
"Chinese folklore had many stories of shape shifters who took the form of beautiful seducers, both male and female, while seducing to drain unsuspecting victims of their sexual essence. They thereby prolonged their own lives at the expense of their partners, who wasted away to an early death."
The Daoists found ways to avoid their life being shortened, such as non orgasmic sex, or climaxing at the same time as their sexual partner.
