Make sure with your environments you're always thinking about clarity of forms. In many of these, it's difficult to parse what is foreground and background, and for that matter what is stone or tree or earth. It is possibly a matter of too much value before figuring out how to state the forms effectively. They are simple, but you might need some smaller scale detail in these to give the viewer an understanding of what they're looking at beyond shapes.
For Tabaqui, I think anything from the quick gestures up the colored line drawings are good to do. At any point, it's a good idea to do the gestures in different poses. When we concept a character like Tabaqui, we're not imagining him in only one pose.
